Frequently Asked Service Questions

1. How do I book a service?

You can book online through our web form or give us a call.

Need help now?
👉 Book a service online or call our team on (03) 9544 6255.

2. What types of equipment do you service?

We service a wide range of commercial food equipment, including:

  • Ovens (Deck, Combi, Convection)
  • Mixers, Pastry Sheeters, and other Dough equipment
  • Dishwashers and Glasswashers
  • Fridges and freezers (Upright, Under Bench, Display)
  • Donut fryers and Pie warmers
  • Provers, Retarder Provers, and Proofing Cabinets
  • Slicers, Bain-maries, and more

If it’s in your kitchen, we can likely service it. Contact us to confirm.

3. How often should I service my equipment?

We recommend professional servicing at least twice a year. However, high-use equipment (like ovens or refrigeration) may need quarterly checks. Regular maintenance helps reduce breakdowns, improve efficiency, and extend lifespan.

4. Can I book emergency repairs?

Yes, we offer emergency breakdown support. If your equipment fails suddenly, contact us immediately and our service team will prioritise your job. Quick response means less downtime for your business.

5. What’s included in a service call out?

A typical service includes:

  • Equipment inspection and diagnostics
  • Cleaning of internal components
  • Calibration and performance testing
  • Checking and replacing worn parts
  • Safety checks and compliance verification

You'll receive a service report outlining any issues, repairs made, and recommendations for ongoing care.

6. Do you offer servicing for brands you didn’t sell?

Absolutely. Our technicians are trained to service all major commercial food equipment brands, whether you purchased it from Carlyle or elsewhere.

7. Will regular servicing void my warranty?

Quite the opposite—regular servicing is often required to maintain your warranty. Skipping scheduled maintenance could result in your manufacturer’s warranty being voided. We follow manufacturer guidelines during every service.

8. Can I set up a regular maintenance plan?

Yes, we offer custom preventive maintenance schedules tailored to your kitchen and equipment usage. This helps you avoid unexpected costs, extend the life of your equipment, and stay compliant with food safety standards.

9. How do I know if my equipment needs servicing?

Look out for signs like:

  • Uneven temperatures
  • Unusual noises or vibrations
  • Slow performance
  • Leaks or smoke
  • Higher-than-normal energy bills

If you’ve noticed any of these, it’s time to book a service.

We service commercial kitchens across Victoria, including bakeries, cafés, restaurants, and food production facilities.

What about interstate?
We have a list of reputable service technicians throughout Australia, all with multiple years of experience. If you are outside of Victoria, we can organise for a Service Technician to contact you and organise a time.

11. Who performs the servicing?

All servicing is carried out by our qualified technicians with over 40+ years’ experience combined. They know food equipment inside out—and understand the real pressures of commercial kitchens.
